Financial Review 2021

What I had achieved in Year 2021.

1) My portfolio target networth for 2021 is $180,000 and I have managed to achieve this target by hitting $209,307. A 50% networth growth in 2021 inclusive of $27,200 of capital injection from bonus and savings. If not, for the recent tech growth stock selloff in Nov 21, my portfolio all time high would stand at $224,344. My dividend and growth stock investment weightage beginning of the year is 70% dividend and 30% growth. My growth stock investment journey started in year 2020 and ever since I see the tremendous returns from growth stock especially on the tech sector, I have been slowly transiting from dividend investing to 100% growth investing. The journey is not easy to transit as I will not be seeing dividend coming in for 2022 onwards and I will be seeing alot of up and down in my portfolio networth. I believe this is the way to grow my networth faster by investing in growth company. Once I have achieved my financial independence status, I will switch back from growth to dividend investing to preserve my wealth.

2) In terms of health, I had clocked in 153,400m of swimming for 2021. An average of 2000m per week. Health has significantly improved for this year and due to covid, I have more free time to exercise.

That's all for 2021. A simple short write-up of my achievements in 2021.
